Jakub Kabala is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Intiative for the Science of the Human Past at Harvard. He is building a geodatabase of historical climate events that took place between 1000-1500 A.D. He is basing his work on the numerous accounts of weather phenomena in medieval written sources collected by previous generations of scholars. He holds a PhD in History from Harvard University.
